Into The West Blogger Network were thrilled once again to work alongside Goldenegg Productions on another Fashion Trail in Galway. Not unlike the last two, this event was a huge success! Twenty Into The West Blogger Network bloggers attended the eight mini fashion shows all over the city throughout the day.
We started the day at Colm Quinn BMW on the Tuam Road with a blogger breakfast to fuel up for the day! The amazing people at Colm Quinn had outdone themselves this time with an amazing breakfast spread for our crew! Granola, cheeses, yoghurts, fruit and pastries were all on the menu as well as teas and coffees from the BMW machine! The showrooms looks every bit as amazing with the huge red bows on all the stunning cars and a photo booth from Cascading Chocolate Fountains!! Always with their finger on the pulse, they did a selfie competition too which we had so much fun doing in the showroom!! We were then chauffeur driven into town to attend the first show at Colette Latchfords Store.
We started at Colette Latchfords on eyre square who kicked off the shows in style! We then headed to Greenes Shoes show in the Eyre Square SC who styled shoes with beautiful accessories from the Galway Hat Shop. We then paid a visit to the Galway Hat Shop to try on some gorgeous hats and had such fun styling them!
From there we made our way to Treasure Chest on Shop street which celebrates fifty years in business this year! Mrs. Bennet herself was there to meet everyone, chat to us all and have a glass of bubbly! Joining the show was NCAD designer Colin Burke who showed some of his stunning collection and we got to check out pieces by award winning milliner Suzie Mahony too. The show wowed us!
Next we made our way to Willow Boutique on Mainguard Street. A firm favourite with the fashion elite and indeed the bloggers, Willow caters for a younger client and has prices to fit all wallets. The show was in full of sparkle and in full swing as we sipped bubbly and nibbled on delicious macaroons!
From there, we went to Caprice Cafe. A new addition to Galway, Caprice has definitely been quick to earn a great reputation for its culinary delights. We were treated to a buffet style lunch here as well as soft drinks, teas and coffees. No rest for the wicked though as we were soon on our way to the next show at Rococo on Cross Street. A fab show in a stunning store, this one was a surprise on the trail. The pieces style were stunning and definitely caught some attention.

Up next was Choice Boutique on High Street. This store is always quite the surprise! With a mix of ages/demographics catered for as well as a very impressive accessories department; Choice Boutique has always been a hit at the Fashion Trail. The show was brilliant but the shopping was better!! The store was packed with both bloggers and with regular (we're guessing, very loyal!!) customers and people were buying like crazy! Everyone was trying on pieces, accessories, bags and hats!
Then it was a quick skip across to the next show which was in Kilkenny Shop. As the scent of Christmas hits you when you walk in, once again the Kilkenny shop pulled out all the stops with their show which included pieces from local Crevation Designs Millinery too. We were in for a real treat here too as Dyrbergkern Ireland gifted us all a stunning Compliments ring!! (Make sure to keep an eye on our instagram for pics of these!!)
Our last stop on the Trail was the spectacular Harper.ie on Eglington Street. Harper caters for evening and events with dresses for every occasion! This was by far the most sparkly show of the #GalwayFashionTrail. The gowns on show were simply stunning and oozed elegance and sophistication. The day really ended with a bang here!
So after a very long and truly exciting day, we retired to the Front Door Pub on High Street for a Gin party!! With some nibbles in hand and a Gin on the table we rested our feet and caught up on some all important tweeting and chatting!
Once again, the power of the Into The West Blogger Network was demonstrated as the event's hashtag started trending early that morning!! By 1:30pm the hashtag #GalwayFashionTrail had reached the no. 1 one spot on the twitter trendsmap! Even with a huge amount of sport on, the #GalwayFashionTrail hashtag kept its position in the top five over the course of the day. A testament to the Into The West Blogger Network and showing simply how important it is to have great social media coverage at events like this!
A huge thank you goes out to the stores involved with the #GalwayFashionTrail and their staff for putting on such wonderful shows and looking after us like VIPs for the day. Congratulations to Goldenegg Productions and to Galway Now Magazine too on yet another very successful #GalwayFashionTrail. Lastly, thank you to the twenty bloggers who travelled from near and far to be with us on the day. It is always a pleasure and a treat to meet up with you all.
