On February we held our 4th #itwbnBloggerEvent in the lavish surroundings of the RadissonBlu Galway. What an amazing day we had. At 1pm the Radisson's foyer started to fill with the sweet scents of perfume and the sounds of heels on the marble floor. Blogger were greeted with a Prosecco reception complete with tiny, heart shaped macaroons! Names were taken and seats were assigned and the bloggers made their way into the Veranda Lounge.
The room was a sea of pink and purple! Balloons, glitter, goodie bags and more. Sweet Treats by Fiona even made us tiny cupcakes with our logo on them (swoon!!) We had ten wonderful exhibitors at the event too. In attendance was Basianti, Cotton Face Vintage, ATIRShapewear, Debenhams, Tanorganic, Beutifi.com, Peter Mark, Crabtree & Evelyn, Youngblood Cosmetic, Spirit One Spa, Make Me Sparkle, David McConville Orthodontist. These brands had this exclusive event to meet and mingle with the bloggers and make long lasting connections for future collaborations.
We had four amazing speakers join us for the event too. First up was Maricka from Online Marketing in Galway (OMiG) who chatted to us about SEO and using it with blogging. Then Siobhan McDonnell, Makeup Artist and successful Irish Youtube Vlogger. She spoke to us all about her journey and did a great Q&A with the bloggers who were dying to chat with her!
Up next was the Galway Player, author and radio personality. He gave us a very in depth look at twitter, how he uses it to his advantage and how not to use it. This was a brilliant look into a specific social platform which everyone enjoyed.
Richie from Beutifi.com chatted to us about his business and his journey so far. Richie see the benefit of working alongside bloggers to boost his business and the online persona also. Lastly was PR manager for the top Irish Brand Cocoa Brown Tan, Kate Kelly! Kate rocked up dressed in signature pink and chatted to the bloggers all about how to work with PR and marketing managers within companies. How to approach them, what to say and do and what not to do. This was a huge hit with the bloggers who learned alot from Kate and her expertise.
The very cool photobooth we had set up in conjunction with Mez Masquerade Galway was the best craic throughout the day too! Lost of dressing up and funny photos taken!
As 6pm drew close we had to say our good-byes! Lots of the bloggers travelling from Dublin had to catch their GoBus.ie back to the East! While others stayed in the hotel and ate some of the gorgeous cake Sandra (A Modern Mommys World) had made for the occasion! Nothing like tea and cake to end a wonderful day! #itwbnBloggerEvent
